Introducing Director of Business Development: Mallory Dyer

Every month we would like to introduce you to one of the many faces that make up Derivita.

At Derivita we are passionate about math, education, and bettering both the instructor’s and learner’s journeys. We are passionate about food, music, reading, baking, dancing, and everything in between. We have families and dogs and cats. We listen to Spotify and watch the latest Marvel movies - just like you!

Sunday was Mother’s Day and this month we are celebrating new mother and our incredible Director of Business Development:
Mallory Dyer!

We asked Mallory a few questions about her life inside and outside of Derivita and here are the results:

1. In 2 sentences, please describe what you do for Derivita.

I work as a liaison between various teams internally to ensure our partners are set up for ongoing success and educate our partners on the use and benefits of Derivita to make sure they are realizing the greatest possible value from it. My goals are to build lasting relationships with our partners, help turn them into Derivita product champions, and make a positive impact in their math classes!

2. What makes Derivita different from other companies in the EdTech space?

At Derivita, we are truly solving problems and challenges that math educators have constantly faced within their classroom. I remember facing many of these issues when I previously taught, and I wish I would have had Derivita! It would have made such a difference in my courses and with my students. The team at Derivita cares about math education, the educators, and the students. We work closely with our partners and really listen to their needs, which drives our innovation and product capabilities. It’s pretty incredible to have a teacher request something within the product and then a few weeks later, they are using it daily with their students!

3. What is your favorite part of working at Derivita?

THE PEOPLE! Hands down, some of the best and most genuine people I have ever met in my life.

4. What is your most listened to or your go-to song right now?

Hmmm, good question, it would have to be “Wheels on the Bus” because that makes my little guy smile every time I play it.

5. What is the best thing about being a new mother?

Oh, how do I choose only one thing? I would have to say the best thing is just experiencing things through Jackson’s eyes and seeing how much he changes every single day! Sorry - I had to sneak in two things here.
