During COVID-19, all online educational platforms have a responsibility to our teachers and students. I co-founded Instructure in 2008, and I recently co-founded the Derivita online math system. As you can imagine, the education community is incredibly close to my heart.

Many of you have already felt COVID-19’s impact on your classrooms. The change from teaching in a classroom to fully online is a big first step. But teaching math remotely without an online math system can be incredibly tricky.

So to aid you in this transition, we are making the Derivita math homework system available for free through August 30, 2020. We will also install it in your course in under 24 hours, so the disruption you are already feeling will be minimal.

Email us at info@derivita.com , and we will do everything we can to provide you with guidance.

You can also find us at www.derivita.com, where you will learn how students around the world use our online system to learn math from their own homes. An online classroom does not need to be a lost learning moment for your math students.

We are privileged to serve the wonderful education community. We care about you, and we’re here to help.

Sincerely,

Devlin Daley, CEO at Derivita

Teaching is challenging — even before COVID-19 forced you to start teaching online. Here are some things you can do to make things a little easier.

Teaching is easily one of the most challenging yet rewarding careers out there. If there was any doubt, it was quickly dispelled during the 2020 pandemic as many parents got a taste of what teachers' jobs were like when they had to take a more active role in their children's learning. Given that algebra teachers regularly provide instruction for a high volume of students, having strategies for making teaching easier can be highly beneficial.

Math teachers are rising to the challenge of hybrid and remote learning and doing the very best they can for their students. Of course, it helps if you have the right tools. Here are 5.
