Derivita commissioned Instructure's research team to develop an ESSA Level IV logic model, an independent framework documenting how the platform connects LMS-embedded access, dynamic practice, and teacher data to improved math outcomes.
In a study conducted by Instructure's research team for Derivita, researchers found that each additional Derivita question answered per day was associated with a 13 percentile point gain — moving an average grade 8 student from the 50th to the 63rd percentile.
A Level II ESSA study is currently underway as part of Derivita’s ongoing commitment to provide districts with third-party evidence of impact. The study is designed to further validate how consistent use supports effective instruction, and improves student learning outcomes over time.
