Derivita, aligned to Texas’s Mathematics Standards.
Standard-by-standard alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Mathematics, from Grade 6 through Precalculus, reviewed by subject-matter experts.
Aligned to Texas high school courses, from Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II through Precalculus, Statistics, and Advanced Quantitative Reasoning.
Open-response practice that helps build the reasoning behind college, career, and military readiness, including the math TSI criteria on the TSIA2, SAT, and ACT.
Texas alignment, course by course.
Derivita aligns its expert-authored questions to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Mathematics, breaking each student expectation into the teachable skills behind it. Every skill is backed by auto-graded Derivita content that runs inside your district's LMS.
Courses covered
Middle school
Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8
Core high school
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
Advanced courses
Precalculus, Statistics, Advanced Quantitative Reasoning, Discrete Mathematics for Problem Solving
Applied courses
Algebraic Reasoning, Mathematical Models with Applications
State assessment
Texas students take STAAR mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and the Algebra I end-of-course exam, which House Bill 8 replaces with three shorter assessments across the year beginning in 2027–28. In high school, CCMR counts toward A–F ratings, including meeting the math TSI criteria on the TSIA2, SAT, or ACT.
Derivita's open-response questions are graded for mathematical equivalence, so students practice constructing and justifying answers rather than choosing from a list, the kind of reasoning both state assessments and college readiness benchmarks ask for.
How the alignment works
Standard to skill to question. Each standard breaks down into the skills it asks of students, and each skill links to Derivita questions that practice and assess it.
Reviewed by subject-matter experts, and used alongside the curriculum your district has already chosen.

Questions Texas districts ask us.
Is Derivita aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Mathematics?
Yes. Derivita provides standard-by-standard alignment to the TEKS for Mathematics, from Grade 6 through Precalculus, reviewed by subject-matter experts. Each student expectation is broken into the teachable skills behind it, and each skill is backed by auto-graded Derivita questions.
Which Texas high school math courses does Derivita cover?
Derivita is aligned to Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Statistics, Advanced Quantitative Reasoning, Discrete Mathematics for Problem Solving, Algebraic Reasoning, and Mathematical Models with Applications, along with Grades 6 through 8.
How does Derivita support college, career, and military readiness in Texas?
Derivita's open-response questions are graded for mathematical equivalence, so students practice constructing and justifying their own answers rather than choosing from a list. That daily practice, from Algebra I through Precalculus and Statistics, helps build the math reasoning behind the TSI college readiness criteria on the TSIA2, SAT, and ACT, which count toward CCMR in Texas's A–F accountability system.
Does Derivita work with the curriculum and LMS our Texas district already uses?
Yes. Derivita enhances the curriculum a district has already chosen, with questions aligned to curricula such as Illustrative Mathematics, Open Up Resources, and Big Ideas Math. It runs natively inside Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, D2L, Moodle, and Blackboard, so students and teachers don't need a separate login.
License utilization, because Derivita meets teachers and students where they already work every day
Percentile points, associated with one additional Derivita question answered per day*
